- The present set, entitled Daphne, is made of 3 melodies:
- Ophélias bouquet, Marine and Saadid Roses, with texts by Alfred de Musset, Sully Prudhomme and Marceline Desbordes-Valmore.
- They are close to Romances (version of Daphne for instruments) and the titles in Romances do allude to the nymph Daphne: Sweet Incantation, At Sea, and Rose Laurel, to which is appended a 4th piece: Romance (Helene Covatti-Dussauts opus 1, for violin and piano).
- Note: as for the set entitled Apollo, it contains the instrumental version (violin piano) of the four Greek melodies

- partition The idea of writing for a chamber orchestra with woodwinds as soloists came to me while listening to the Vents français at a concert in the south of France. The transportation to the distant lands of northern Europe then came to me with this spread out, hovering and calm vision of this part of the western world.
- At no point does the piece develop an idiomatic virtuosity for the woodwinds, but rather rapid flourishes at a slow tempo.
- The presence of the harp and the marimba, with clear attacks to define the contours of the harmonies, allows for an even more extensive resonance.
- It is not a symphonie concertante for wind quintet, to use a form that was very popular after the French Revolution until the middle of the 19th century, but rather an assemblage of very characteristic timbres allowing for a fusion and a series of alliterations within the orchestra.

- partition et parties The theatrical dimension of a chamber music work truly comes to life during a live performancetoday, it has become essential in engaging an audience that is often wary of so-called «serious» music. Commissioned by the Ellipsos Quartet in 2020, Les 4 Pop embodies the four identities of a saxophone quartet, where each musician can adopt a distinct stage persona and gestural attitude. Whether as a Pop-Star (a self-centered soloist), Pop-Jazzy (a laid-back jazzman), Pop-Rock (channeling a guitar hero), or Pop-Corn (lyrical and playful), its time to have fun with the character of their instrument. This quartet is a musical farce that even an uninitiated audience will enjoya saxophone in all its forms! An introduction adds a touch of humor with four quotes from the saxophonists repertoire.
- The piece is best performed standing.
- Les 4 Pop won the Audience Prize at the 2022 Vedrarias National Composition Competition.

- This current edition of Hélène Covattis Melodies (Athens 1910
- Paris 2005) was produced using manuscripts found in the home of her daughter, the pianist Thérèse Dussaut. No date of composition can be found on these documents, but there exists a concert poster from 1938 on which the Greek mezzo-soprano Spéranza Calo-Séailles included various Covatti melodies in her programme. These melodies were also performed on French national radio by another Greek artist, the soprano Elen Dosia, star of the Opéra National de Paris.|This collection will allow the public to finally discover the vocal music of Hélène Covatti, hitherto unpublished, and reveal the work of a greatly talented woman. A collection of eight contrasting melodies, with the female figure always in the spotlight.

- The registrations proposed in this edition are the result of a precious collaboration with Olivier Latry, Titular Organist of the Great Organ of Notre Dame de Paris. We offer him our sincere thanks for his invaluable contribution.
- This piece is a free variation on the Salve Regina, the most famous antiphon addressed to Mary. The melody is heard almost in its entirety, but in a highly contrasting manner. The piece consists of three stanzas and an epilogue following this structure:
- A1-B1-C1/A2 -B2-C2/A3-B3-C3/Epilogue.
- The three elements develop from one stanza to the next. The element that varies the most from one stanza to another is element A: simple and stark in the initial measures, it becomes increasingly complex in the subsequent stanzas.
- With its grand dissonant chords, B is the most dramatic element. It culminates in a triple forte in the third verse. Element C, on the other hand, is very calm and distant, as if from another age. Indeed, it is borrowed from Jacob Obrechts Salve Regina (on the words Et Jesum).
